These 3 simple habits are what most millionaires have in common! How can we translate this into improving our health?

Randall Bell, a researcher, dug into the habits of the affluent and discovered that most of them had these habits in common:

*They make their bed. This is a symbolic act of commitment to being disciplined daily.

*They tend to wake up 3 hours before their official workday begins for strategizing and planning their day.

*They also tend to allocate time daily to reading. Most devoted at least 30 minutes per day as a tool for self improvement.

So, how can we translate this into creating good health habits?

  1. Set Clear Goals and Be Specific. For example: "I want to lose 10 pounds of fat and gain 5 pounds of muscle." or "I want to be able to do 5 pull-ups" or "I want to cut sugar out of my diet."

  2. Be flexible and teachable. Be willing to learn and grow as science evolves and we learn new techniques for creating longevity and health into old age.

  3. Be willing to manage and track what you eat (even in the short term). Be willing to be accountable, even if it's for a short period of time, so that you can understand what changes you may need to make. We can't learn if we don't know!

  4. Prioritize yourself and your health. Be willing to put your health first! This may mean that you have to schedule your daily workouts or walk. We can not help others or show love for others if we don't first take care of ourselves.

  5. Surround yourself with like-minded people who bring out the best in you! Be willing to let go of unhealthy relationships. This is a hard one, but ultimately if we want to grow into the best version of ourselves then we may have to remove relationships from our lives that are toxic and unsupportive so that we can grow into our best selves.
